When symptoms linger
The concussion was months ago. But you're still suffering.
You may look fine to everyone else, while the symptoms continue to haunt you every day. Persistent symptoms can affect how you think, sleep, work, connect, and trust yourself.
Your symptoms are real
Doctors said you’re "fine". But you know you’re not.
CT and MRI scans are important tools for detecting structural injury. But they can look normal while your brainwave patterns are still overstimulated, underactive, or out of sync — the same patterns linked to lingering concussion symptoms.
That's why our patients start with a personal QEEG brain map. This provides a detailed view of how your brain is actually functioning and performing.
With this data, we can build neurofeedback training around your specific brain patterns and symptoms - Not just a generic concussion protocol.
“Neurofeedback is really the only remedy currently available for concussions. Concussions have been successfully remediated with neurofeedback since 1975.”
Dr. Siegfried Othmer, PhD, BCIAC · Clinical neuroscience physicist
How neurofeedback works
Zero guesswork: We map YOUR brain, then retrain its original function.
Neurofeedback is like physical therapy for brainwaves. Sensors read your activity in real time. When your brain shifts toward a healthier pattern, you get a reward — a brighter screen, a clearer sound.
Over repeated sessions, the brain learns to stay there on its own - No performance, pressure, or guesswork required.
Start with your story
Tell us what changed after the concussion, what is still getting in your way, and what you have already tried.
Map your brain activity
A non-invasive QEEG helps us identify patterns that may relate to the symptoms disrupting your day.
Build your training plan
Your symptoms, goals, and brain map guide the neurofeedback methods and training schedule we recommend.
Train and track progress
During each session, your brain receives feedback in real time. We monitor your response and adjust the plan as you progress.
A science-backed approach
Supported by decades of neurofeedback research.
Neurofeedback is grounded in neuroplasticity: the brain’s ability to learn and adapt. Research continues to explore its role in post-concussion symptoms including headaches, sleep disruption, attention difficulties, and mood.
“Infra-low frequency neurofeedback significantly improved post-concussive symptoms — reducing chronic headaches, insomnia, and attention difficulties in combat veterans. It also showed meaningful gains in quality of life, mood, and PTSD symptoms.”

Lisa Cramer, MA, LCPC, BCN, QEEG-DL · Owner
Sessions use hospital-grade, FDA-registered EEG equipment. Traditional neurofeedback reads the brain — it doesn’t send electricity into it. Advanced options (LENS, Neurofield, tDCS) are used only when they’re a fit, and always explained first.

Licensed clinical professional counselor, board-certified in neurofeedback and QEEG. Concussion care is a core focus, including work with athletes recovering from years of impact sports.
Zachary Farndale, BCN-T
With more than a decade of athletic experience, Zachary experienced the power of neurofeedback first-hand. Now he helps others recover from the mental and physical cost of impact sports.

Straight answers
Know what to expect before you decide.
Clear answers to the questions we hear most often from people exploring neurofeedback after a concussion.
Is neurofeedback safe after a concussion?
Yes. Traditional neurofeedback is non-invasive and does not send electricity into the brain. Sensors read activity the way a heart monitor reads a heartbeat. Lasting negative effects are extremely rare. Some people feel briefly tired or get a mild headache; that usually passes. Your comfort is walked through at every step.
How is this different from rest, PT, or more meds?
Rest and rehab help the body. Meds can blunt symptoms. Neurofeedback trains the brainwave patterns that often stay stuck after a concussion — fog, headaches, sleep disruption, emotional reactivity. It can sit alongside what you’re already doing. Many clients keep their current providers and medications.
When will I notice a difference?
Every brain is different. Many people notice subtle shifts — calmer, clearer, sleeping a little better — within the first several sessions. For others it is closer to 8–10. A typical course is 20–40 sessions, twice a week, so the new patterns have time to hold. This is training, not a one-visit reset.
Will this change my personality?
No. The aim is not to make you someone else. It is to help the brain come out of a stuck, dysregulated loop so you can feel more like you — clearer, more even, less on edge.
Can I do this from home?
Yes. If coming into the Lakewood office twice a week isn’t realistic, at-home neurofeedback is an option. You get the same technology and clinical guidance — just more flexibility. We’ll help you decide on the consult whether in-clinic, home training, or a two-week intensive fits better.
Does insurance cover it?
Coverage varies. Neurofeedback is sometimes reimbursable for TBI and related conditions, often case by case. The clinic can provide documentation for HSA/FSA claims and help you navigate submissions. Pricing depends on the plan; package discounts are available. The free consult is the place to talk numbers without pressure.
What happens on the free consult?
During this 30-minute free consultation, you’ll share what’s been happening, what you’ve already tried, and what you want back. We’ll tell you honestly whether neurofeedback — weekly sessions in Lakewood, home training, or a two-week intensive — is a sensible next step.
